Using Linked Data to organize and describe geodocumentation can precisely express the semantic information of literature, make the data reusing easier and implement the semantic interoperation. This interoperation can be fine-grained to knowledge segment which provides data foundation for knowledge-level literature services. This thesis reviewed the key technologies of Linked Data, the current research and application level of Linked Data in information science area. The thesis also researched and analyzed the actuality and main problems of geodocumentation.Based on the background studies, in order to describe the semantic information of geodocumentations, the thesis proposed a semantic description model for geoscience research community. This model included research agent(such as researchers, institutes), research areas and keywords, those entities are linked together via Ontology Vocabulary. As for the geodocumentation used in the research process, the thesis also proposed a detailed semantic description model for it. This model can describe semantic information of books, papers, proceedings. Following the models, the thesis designed a SKOS Linked Data mapping and publishing program for Chinese Geology Thesaurus(CGT), and published the CGT Linked Data using Jena Fuseki and Pubby. The researchers, institutes and research areas were also modeled. When coming to the bibliographic records, the thesis proposed a semantic bibliographic description model based on BIBO, and published linked bibliographic data using D2 R. People can publish Linked Data via relational databases on-the-fly. To check the validity of the model and linked data, a mashup web app using Geo Search(a search engine used in finding geoscience literature) and fragmental linked data in JSON-LD format was developed. A result of related search keywords, related researchers and related institutes were mashed up in the search result. By comparison this mashup web app with CNKI, the thesis gave some positive conclusion of using linked data in literature data organization and also showed some disadvantages.
