With the rapid development of test and measurement technology, the development of the corresponding PC test software is put forward higher requirements. Because of the complexity of programming, poor visibility and operation difficultly, the tools of traditional text-based programming have been unable to meet the demand of test applications. LabVIEW, based on the graphical programming language, is increasing applied to the development of software testing, due to its powerful instrument control ability, simple programming language and the appearance of virtual instrument interface. Meanwhile, in order to achieve the control of hardware device and the process of data by PC test software, research on the data exchange and processing technology for software and equipment has an important significance with the emergence of a variety of integrated and specialized third-party hardware test system.LabVIEW as the development platform of test software, this paper research the data exchange and processing in software and hardware testing system. In data exchange, in order to solve the communication problem between LabVIEW and the third-party specialty equipment, the interactive modes with USB and wireless are designed. The underlying functions in DLL are drived by LabVIEW for achieving USB communication. The TCP packaging socket function is programed for wireless communications. Aiming at the problem of data exchange between LabVIEW and NI acquisition device, a 4 channel data acquisition system based on NI-DAQmx driver is designed, which realizes the data’s synchronized sampling and processing between test software and acquisition card. In the aspect of data processing, this paper focuses on research of hybrid programming technology with LabVIEW and MATLAB that uses the MathScript node and COM component generation technology to realize the operation of data derived from test device.Using the technology above, the test software specialized to memory test system is designed to realize USB and wireless communication between the PC and storage test system. Under the blast field test environment, the pressure and temperature data were processed by the software test for realizing the pressure field fitting and dynamic temperature compensating. Another developed test software, which edicated the shock tube dynamic calibration system built with NI acquisition equipment, is applied for synchronous data acquisition and processing.
