With the rapid development of communication technology, sensor technology and data processing technology, a large number of new types of services such as mobile health and telemedicine are emerging. A variety of medical devices are also appeared in the ordinary family, including blood sugar, blood pressure and weight apparatus. Although these devices are designed to be very simple and easy to use, usually only one button operation can collect physiological data. But it’s difficult to collect and preserve these data. The main reason is that different manufacturers of medical devices use different communication standards and data format. A health management system can only use a specific manufacturer of medical device, devices and systems are so closed that it is very difficult to be compatible. This brings considerable difficulties for collecting physiological data.In this thesis, the research direction is based on the practical problems encountered in scientific research projects. In order to solve the data acquisition of medical device and compatibility problems, the IEEE 11073 standards which developed by Continua Alliance are used in the “family” of data acquisition and transmission system. Acquisition module and client module is the part of system. The former is mainly responsible for the conversion of the data format of the original manufacturers. The later is mainly used for the unified collection datas which are from standard or non-standard medical devices. The main work of this thesis is as follows:Firstly, this thesis analyses the standard protocol, and the domain information model and service model are designed and implemented according to the protocol. The four types of object model of the medical devices are established, including blood pressure, blood glucose meter, oximetry and weight apparatus. In the session layer, according to the communication mode of Agent, the format of session message is designed, and the session process is managed to realize the transmission of device configuration information and measurement data.Secondly, this thesis designs and implements the module of acquisition and transmission, and client software according to the home environment, also uses a communication plug-in to solve a variety of communication transmission requirements. This thesis also designs a transcoding plug-in for multi devices access, it can connect medical devices and converts the original data format into IEEE 11073 format, thus solves the problem of the non-standard devices are not compatible. In the client software, the protocol analysis, data visualization, management and other functions are realized.Finally, the feasibility of the system is verified by experiment. This thesis has tested the system’s functionality and performance in detail by use of the Continua Alliance’s tools and writing a test program, the result is conform to the requirements of the protocol, and the performance of the system is feasible and extensibility.
