The Design And Implication Of Solid State Power Amplifier In C Band

Microwave solid state power amplifier is widely used in electronic countermeasure, satellite communications, mobile communications, navigation,electronic countermeasures,radar systems,and various kinds of electronic equipment.It has a low operating voltage, low noise, high efficiency and linearity as well as the small size and other characteristics. With the development of microwave communications and a new standard in the military field of new technologies, an increasing demand to improve the performance of microwave power amplifier with higher output power, efficiency and reliability.Firstly, the research significance and development status of the power amplifier is introduced in chapter one. The theoretical basis needed for the design of radio-frequency power amplifier, including the classification of common power amplifiers and their working features as well as the commonly used technical indicators of power amplifier is described in the second chapter. Also, the analysis and explanation on the stability of power amplifier have been provided; the detailed theoretical analysis of design methods have been carried out on the bias circuit and matching circuit of the power amplifier. According to the design requirements, design flow of the power amplifier is introduced in the third chapter. It includes the selection of static working point and design of the bias circuit, the optimal load, stability analysis. The simulations of source impedance, small signal S parameter and large signal nonlinear characteristic about single tube power amplifier and double- tube balanced power amplifier circuits are carried out.
