In this paper, as a study object nursery practice base of Beijing Forestry University, the actual work of the nursery information management closely integrated analysis through GIS development trends and GIS application status in the management of nursery at home and abroad, to determine the use of components GIS development and C/S mode as the system architecture framework. On the basis of analyzing the business needs through research study, the map display, attribute query, spatial query, thematic map production, seedling information analysis, fertilization point location, optimal operation pathand diseases and insect pests control Finally, Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 development platform, C# as the programming language, using ArcGIS Engine 10.1 component GIS development tools, the use of the organization and management of SQL server 2008 spatial database, using ArcGIS controls and DevExpress Components 14.1 to create a user interface with ArcGIS Engine class library expansion program volume analysis of trees function, using the mathematical model, the functions of the system.Nursery practice base of Beijing Forestry University information management system for the design and practice show that the use of self-development component GIS development tools ArcGIS Engine, flexibility this way, can be developed for the needs of users to develop applications program, only be able to use ArcGIS Desktop basic functions and data formats, and can be run separately from the ArcGIS Desktop professional software environment, and also be able to meet the needs of nursery land management sector, which is a small investment, quick results, the establishment of the fthree dimensional nursery information management system for effective solutions.
