Development Of Land Information Management System Based On ARCGIS

With the rapid development of information technology, urban planningmanagement is experiencing a profound transformation from traditonal mode toinformatization mode. Data of GIS not only includes spatial information but alsotime-property. Thus it can greatly increase work efficiency and the degree ofinformation accuracy. Since land is the important carrier for urban planning, it isimportant to manage land scientifically, plan land reasonably, monitor the use of land intime, classify, statistics and integrate related information. Land information system isthe system to provide land management services, which is one of the most importantapplications of GIS.The dissertation includes two parts. It first introduces the construction of ageographic information database. In this part, the basic theory of urban planning andGIS, ArcGIS Engine and Oracle database development tool are introduced, then itpresents the design principle of an unban planning system, the architecture of thesystem，and the software and hardware design. The second part of the dissertationintroduces the development of a land information management system which is animportant subsystem of the urban planning system. The system is designed andimplemented with ArcGIS Engine and Oracle database techniques. The design andimplementation of all modules of the system are introduced in detail. At last, the landinformation management system is implemented and tested. And it is expected toimprove the management efficiency and level, and provide strong support to urbanplanning.
