Due to the wide application of surface reconstruction technology in reverse engineering, as well as planar geometric design, surface reconstruction technology has become an important issue in the field of scientific research, And it is applied in industrial design and computer image processing and so on. In surface model reconstruction technique, the b-spline surface has better local support than other surface, and the quasi uniform B spline curve surface has the k+1 order repeated degree, which can make overlap the end point of the generated surface and control the vertex of the control surface in all B spline curve surface. the quasi uniform B spline surface is adopted as the main research means in the paper.Firstly, the current situation of reverse engineering technology in the practical production and application is discussed and the influence of surface reconstruction technology improvement and perfection on scientific research work is analyzed and demonstrated.Secondly, the generation principle of B spline surface is described, and the control points are selected and surfaces are generated by using B spline basis. distinctions are analyzed between the uniform B spline curves and the uniform B spline curves by running results in the paper.Again, on the basis of the forward generation of B spline surface, by extracting and the parametric curved surface data point, and unversed control points on surface model, finally the B spline surface regenerated by using inverse control vertex points.Through the analysis of the results, found that surface, witch generated by surface mesh endpoints as a data point reverse control points, with the original surface exist a big error, so a improved method is presented, that is surface the endpoints and inside points are extracted at same time, improve the quality of the reconstructed surface, make it a better approximation to the original surface.At last, the principle and method of surface reconstruction are analyzed, and the technology of the surface splicing together is studied.
