| Originated in 2002, a mainland TV civil news program called “Nanjing Zero Distance” featured with regional, accessible and timely characteristics after the dozens of years’ development. Nowadays, television civil news assumes domination that prevails over other news types into the major news programs in the prime time of many local televisions, regarded as the greatest common divisor of public audiences. Even though television civil news programs win the reputation among the television audience with rather superior rating performance, the development of mainland television civil program is still in the primary stage, inevitably swarmed with “minor news” and too much negative press.The development of television civil news in Taiwan began with the appearance of a program called “TTV Evening News” and enjoys a longer developing period than mainland, which has formed a specific style after a series of reforms. Given that the industry of television news and media in Taiwan is excessively fierce and competitive,“TTV Evening News” is invariably regarded as the miniature of the television civil news of Taiwan. Serious homogenization and immoderate inclination of entertainment are the undeniable problems of television news programs in Taiwan.By establishing the case study of “1818 Golden Eye” and “TTV Evening News”respectively and collecting first-hand materials from personal journalistic practices observation and intensive interviews, this paper would analyze the reasons leading to the differentiation of cross-strait television civil news programs from conducting concrete comparison in seven aspects of news edition and production including news gathering motivation, news topic selection, news report structure, news headlinesprotocol, news edition strategy, news anchor report style, news program packaging.Furthermore, the author would gain enlightenments from the study of television civil news programs in Taiwan which benefit to the development of mainland television civil news programs. |
