In modern society, Chinese medical level continuously improves, the hospital scaleexpands, number of people needing medical treatment increases, and the health andmedical care personnel’s pressure is bigger and bigger. The traditional writing medicalrecords cannot satisfy the current situation of the sharp increase of patients, in addition,because of the large number of patients, writing pattern of medical record leads todifficult management and single function. In the case of a modern hospital business, thewriting pattern can not adapt to the job requirements of the hospital, so we need theintroduction of information technology in the medical record management, improve thework efficiency of the hospital medical staff, maintain the consistency, integrity andpersistence of the data in the process of medical record management. Electronic medicalrecord system can not only realize the modernization of the hospital medical recordinformation management, but realize modern information technology in the traditionalhospital business. After the early stage of the research we finally decide the hospitalmedical staff put forward business requirements and related professional and technicalpersonnel to complete the system development while the staffs of hospital informationtechnology department participate in analysis, design, and implementation process.Based on the analysis of case management at home and abroad, this paperdiscusses the development background and practical significance of electronic medicalrecord management system. It analyses system demand including business demand,functional demand and non-functional demand, determines the users of the system andgives use case diagram. Systematic design part completes system structure design of thesoftware and hardware system, function module design, database design and detaileddesign, which describes the time sequence and logical relationship between variousbusinesses through the sequence diagram and deployment diagram. In the part of systemimplementation, it provides the interface of the core function module, flow chart and thecore source code. After system implementation, through the multiple test cases,potential errors are discovered and modified. Finally, the whole design phase issummarized and prospected. System framework chooses the typical three-tierarchitecture, B/S architecture, database uses Oracle[1-3], development language choosesJava[4-6], making the developed system have strong scalability, portability and maintainability.
