With the rapid development of electronic technology and computer technology, the complexity of electronic equipment has been gradually improved. And automatic test system has been a necessary guarantee for the reliable operation of complex systems and equipment. The development trend of the current testing technology is the standardization, generalization and modularization of the automatic test system. However, in the process of production and the use of the test system, the problem of inefficient information exchange has not yet been effectively resolved. Aiming at this problem, this paper implements a resource modeling and testing information description tool based on ATML(Test Markup Language Automated) in an automatic test system, ATML using a special data exchange standard. The tool has many abilities, such as the information transmission in the test environment, the sharing of general information between different test platforms. So it improves the portability and interoperability of the automatic test program. Research on this topic has the positive meaning, the following is the main content of this article.Firstly, this paper studies the ATML standard, and analyzes the structure of the elements in each information description document. Taking account into the experience and interactivity of the software, the paper has developed a graphical resource modeling tool using the Visio embedded in Visual C++. The tool provides system hardware resources corresponding to the mold. Then the user can render system model using molds in the pixel, and input information for each device module. After completing the information, the configuration tool analyzes model information automatically and generate corresponding XML document. It is verified by examples that, the tool can reflect the interconnection relationship of the systems and equipment directly. And the interactive interface is friendly, and the generated documents are in line with the standard specification.Then, this paper analyzes the characteristics of the resource information, and selects the relational database to store the information. According to the characteristics of the entity model, the database tables are designed in detail, and the operation interface of the database is encapsulated. Then it is verified by examples for the function of data import in the resource modeling software. The establishment of database information is advantageous to query information and organize system information for users.Finally, this paper studies the STD and IEEE1671.1 standards, and develops a graphical test strategy to describe the environment. In this environment, users can express their testing ideas by drawing flow chart, and the attributes of necessary signals at each measurement point are described using signal description standard. After drawing, the software analyzes test process automatically, and generate test description file. Through the example test, the document conforms to the standard specification, and the tool operation is simple. It is verified by examples that test description files meet the standards. And the tool is convenient to learn and use, and reduce the difficulty of test information expression. So it has provided the essential condition for the automatic generation of automatic test procedure.
