Motor deficit caused by the cerebral diseases like apoplexy and hemiplegia makes it difficult to live their lives by themselves for many disabled middle aged and elderly people nowadays. Only the scientific rehabilitation training could assist in recovering the function of limbs movement. In that context, rehabilitant robot based on the technology of the feature analysis of electroencephalogram(EEG) attracts much attention as an effective equipment to the rehabilitation training. There are 100 billion nerve cells in the brain of human beings which form enormous network of nerve cells. In the network of nerve cells, it could realize the directed transmission of information by means of neurons synapse, while the process of transmission may lead to the change of the concentration of electric ion inside of the neurons. The change of the concentration of electric ion in the specific area of the brain may result in moving of charge of the skin’s surface correspondingly, which makes it possible to collect the features of electroencephalogram(EEG) exteriorly. According to the analysis of the features of EEG, the exterior instrument could be controlled based on the motor image.Combination the extraction and analysis of EEG with rehabilitant robot, this thesis aims at the study as follows:1. An EEG signal acquisition method is designed in this thesis. Through the research about signal process and pattern recognition algorithms, the motor image message in the raw EEG can be distinguished.2. The simulation of signal process and pattern recognition algorithms on MATLAB platform is achieved by programming, and the effectiveness of algorithms can be proved and analyzed through the simulation.3. A monitoring software is designed by LABVIEW programing in this thesis. The state of rehabilitation training can be monitored through the software, and the motor image can be recognized and used to control the software.4. A rehabilitation training robot with wireless communication is designed in this thesis. The rehabilitation robotcan be cotrolled by embedded C programming.A rehabilitation robot system controlled by the brain electrical signal is researched and designed in this paper, which meets the needs of independent rehabilitation exercise training in patients with hemiplegia.
