This paper introduces a kind of wireless monitoring system controlled by computer, which is used to control the grain condition, and prevent the grain from rotting. The system adopts wireless network and multi-CPU technique. The wireless communication can avoid the shortcoming of remote wire transmission, such as large wastage, high cost etc. Each node is made up of two MCU. The main MCU (89C51) takes charge of measurement , control and communication with the communication MCU. The communication MCU (89C2051) is used to control receiving and sending data in the wireless communication. Many sensors are connected to one bus as intelligent terminals. The node controller gathers all buses. Each node controller is responsible for a granary. A complete communication protocol is defined in the wireless network communication. The host controller works as a dispatcher. CRC technology is adopted to verify data and guarantee the dependability in the wireless communication. The communication MCU is designed specially in the host controller. The host controller communicates with PC through RS232C. A serial communication protocol is defined, which can help the host controller communicate with the configuration software - the KINGVIEW, which runs in PC. The KINGVIEW is used to design the user interface, alarm log, historical curve showing and printing etc.The paper completes both the software and hardware design. At the same time, it puts forward a kind of temperature monitoring system that can be applied to the medium and small-scale granary.
