Since the reform and opening up to, China’s annual gross industrial production increased gradually, but the energy consumption than a year did not decline, high energy consumption ratio has become the constraints of China’s industrial economic development the hinder part of, so our country invested a lot of material and energy, so as to support energy-saving emission reduction projects, in many energy-saving emission reduction equipment, inverter technology has been in all walks of life in the wide, range of application.At present, a lot of 6kV, 10 kV motors ware used in our country, auxiliary inverter in international was called medium voltage converter. But because we used to say these motors are high voltage motors, so we put the medium voltage inverter called the high voltage inverter, this paper also use the habit of domestic appellation. Domestic high voltage inverter mainly used cascade topology structure; it is made of a number of the same power unit of according to certain rules. The research object of this paper is the power module of the cascaded high voltage inverter.This thesis is based on the actual needs of inverter customers to high voltage motor(6kV and 10kV) and the actual needs of energy saving and emission reduction. According to the development of high-voltage inverter and power electronic devices, the overall scheme of high voltage inverter is analyzed, and the design and testing of power components is completed. The rated output current of power module is 750 A, the capacity rating is a leading position in China. Specific research contents are as follows:(1) the function of the power module and the fault protection strategy are mainly studied. The function and performance of the power module of the high voltage cascaded inverter are studied.(2) the main circuit topology of power components: the research on the topology structure of the power components in high voltage cascaded inverter, including the selection of power components, the power consumption simulation, the load flow calculation of each link.(3) the circuit board and the control program design of the power module: the research and design of the hardware and software of the control board in the power module, and the related functions and performance of the power module, and the function of the fault protection and alarming.(4) the structure of the power module design: according to the electrical design of the output file, provide power components of the thermal simulation data, auxiliary design power components 3D drawings, and generate two-dimensional drawings for prototype manufacturing and processing.(5) testing and verification of power components: for the design of the prototype, complete the relevant testing and verification work to determine whether to meet the design targets, the success of the research and design of the content.
