At present, there are two puzzles or human beings, one is cavity of energy sources, the other is environment pollution. It is extremely important to economize energy sources before new ones are developed. In recent years variable speed drives in high voltage range are widely used in many industries such as water treatment, oil and natural gas industry, paper industry, etc. developed. High voltage multilevel inverters have the following advantages: high reliability high power factor high efficiency, low cost, low input and output harmonic, low common mode voltage and low dv/dt. Hence, it is significant to develop and popularize high voltage inverters to reduce industry energy waste.In several papers on high-voltage inverter topology on the basis of the highlights of the cascade multi-level inverters feature of the structure and working principle. Based on the converter topology control algorithms were compared with the analysis of the frequency converter for the cascade system to provide the theoretical basis and technological support.
