It is short of power and energy at the present time which restricts development of productive power and it is time to use the power properly and efficiently, especially focus on the economizing of the power using in mine. The first choice to do this is to choose the inverter to drive the induction motor. As a result of the significant technological innovation in Electrical Drive field, AC speed regulating technology has seen rapid development from VVVF to FOC and DTC, for high performance in speed regulating and energy saving. This enables control on frequency conversion to bear both static control characteristic and high dynamic performance to match D/C speed regulating system. Control on low speed and large torque situation, such as for belt conveyor and hoister used in coal mine, therefore can be implemented. However, as the special condition and special voltage used (1140V), the general inverter (380V) can't be used in mine. So designing the medium voltage inverter using in mine is very important and significant.This thesis firstly designed the hardware system including the main circuit and drive circuit, based on the special condition using in mine.Secondly, AC speed regulating system of asynchronous motor with speed-current double closed-loop is researched and software system is designed in this thesis. This system adopts SVPWM (Space Voltage Pulse Width Modulation) control technology and FOC (Field Oriented Control) control algorithm based on TMS320LF2407A DSP which is special chip of TI for motor control. These two significant control strategies and algorithms are analyzed and simulated by MATLAB/SIMULINK. The result of simulation shows the high performance and the good precision.Then, the protection system of overcurrent,overvoltage,overheat and overload were designed with the confront of the bad condition in mine .At last, the VVVF algorithm and FOC algorithm were implemented on the model machine that showed FOC had the better speed regulation performance and loading performance which were significant in the mine condition.
