In recent years, population aging has become a worldwide concern. Issues of venerable age, disability and care for sick elderly care have caused widespread concern in the community. The command of facilities to help elders’life become more convenience has rising. Being one of the service robots, indoor mobile robot, for its strong environmental adaptability, smooth motion control, and friendly interactive experience, is an indispensable tool for engineering, which has important research value and social significance. The indoor robot can be used as a highly intelligent means of transport as well as a daily care facility for home and hospital because of its combination of characteristics of intelligent wheelchairs and nursing bed. However, the system of indoor robots is complex home and abroad. The price and the application of them are not satisfied. Under this situation, this thesis has developed an indoor robot master system based on Android platform in view of the existing indoor mobile robot hardware. The main parts of my thesis are as follows:First, the research background, purpose and significance of this issue, and introduces the research status of indoor mobile robot and its control system.Second, the characteristics of iOS, Windows Phone, Android and other mobile platforms, according to the needs of indoor mobile robot master system and choose the Android platform to develop the master system. Then was the master of indoor mobile robot system requirements analysis. On the basis of the design of the overall architecture of the control system.Third, the main control system design software systems, including database design, communication design, functional design. Detailed design of the database include the detailed design of relational design, Bluetooth communication ER diagram design, field design tables, data tables, including definitions, Bluetooth communication protocol design and function code, detailed design features include mobile capabilities, attitude switch, navigation, voice recognition function.Fourth, the main control system software implementation. Implementation is divided into the database, to achieve Bluetooth communication, and a mobile control, attitude switching, navigation, offline speech recognition is realized.Fifth, indoor mobile robot to test various functions, including Bluetooth communication experiment, indoor mobile function, switching attitude, navigation, offline voice recognition function test results showed that the indoor Bluetooth communication error rate is stable and reliable, each function to achieve the desired system requirements.Sixth, the work done to make a summary of this article, and gives recommendations for future research.
