In military enterprises, debugging and testing is guarantee of military weapons and equipment to one of the safe and stable operation of the focus of the work. Modern radar testing work, most of which are completed by manual work, spent a lot of equipment and human resources. But the test of the airborne radar processing unit is often time-consuming, and the occupation of human resources is particularly prominent. In response to the requirement of military innovation and improvement, the paper designed a series of automatic test system for radar processing unit.In this system design, main work are as follows:expounds the traditional processing unit debugging method; analyses the test automation system requirements; in a modular way of hardware circuit design, the MCU as the core, including serial communication design, display device;sound and light alarm module, power control module, etc.; and write software to make the system can complete the previous manual debugging operation of automation. Besides, the simulation test of the serial port in the host computer is used to analyze the feasibility of engineering application.The system has been put into processing units daily testing environment, which can replace the manual operation, to ease the situation of shortage of manpower, in processing unit fault in work, This system can discover problems in a timely manner, improve production efficiency.
