China’s network video talk show program, beginning to appear in2002, has come into a boom since 2012 until now. Nowadays, various video talk show programs appear on the famous network platforms,which has not only produced a series of popular programs but also attracted audiences from different levels. As it is, China’s network video talk show program has become a communication and culture phenomenon which can not be neglected.The development of China’s network video talk show program can be composed of three stages: germination stage(from2002 to2006),developing stage(from 2007 to 2011), and flourishing stage(from 2012 to now). And China’s network video talk show program can also be classified into three types: news and current events, humanistic knowledge, and entertainment and comprehensive program.China’s network video talk show program features distinctively with its subject of communication, content of communication, mode of communication and interaction with audience. To be specific, Talking from the subject of communication, the view speakers are characterized by diversification and multi-stratification;Talking from the content of communication,content of communication the network video talk show program features with magnanimity in contents and individuation;Talking from mode of communication, the network video talk show program employed diversified modes to express ideas and the audiences take initiatives to participate in the program and interact with host or hostess. As it is, the network video talk show program presented a livelyscene where the clamor were voiced in the program either from the subject of communication, the content of communication,the mode of communication, or from the interaction with audiences.However, under the surface of the clamor in the internet age hid the reality that consumerism dominated everything: The network video talk show program is filled with visual enjoyment, pleasant sensation from spoofs, conspiracy with business.It is this reality that dominates and controls the clamor. The public still suffers from “silence” and the construction of web public space is only a fantasy as a result of the absence of serious subject, ineffectiveness of talking and the silent public.To make the network video talk show program to be a real network public space where the public can voice their opinions and convey their points of view, the development of the network video talk show program should be demassification and professionalization. And the audiences can voice their opinions freely by means of constructing an interaction platform. Besides, the audiences, as the receiver of information, should constantly improve their media literacy and citizen consciousness,promote the construction of public space.
