With the establishment of market economy in our country,people's consumption level has improved.China has gradually turned into the consumer society,during which,television played an important role for providing a symbolic sign reality with its vivid sound and pictures.And emotional talk show,lasting for almost 20 years in Chinese TV,also turns out consumable,especially when it becomes more professional and dispersed.This essay is aimed to exploring its symbolic sign and the consumption of emotional talk show from Baudrillard's consumerism theory with the case of Love Battle.Study shows that the consumption of private experience and emotion is very obvious,along with symbolic signs consumption.The program gets consumable by Labeling on the guests,Shaping symbol of love mentor,Labeling love and happiness on the products and piecing pictures together.What's more,market-oriented reform,audience rating,identical production and suspensive story are the origin of the consumption of emotional talk show.One coin has two sides,It helps audience transferring their moods and achieving individual self-identify,on the other hand,it will result in the addiction to personal privacy if watching too much,and leads people losing themselves in the meaning jungle of symbolic signs.
