Electronic analytical balance is a quality measuring instrument with high precision. With the development of society and science technology, it is deeply received by the laboratory researchers, laboratory staff and other users of scales because of its high accuracy, weighing speed and convenient operation etc. For the blank of the domestic high-end market of electronic analytical balance, this thesis introduces a system of electronic analytical balance, based on the low-power MCU MSP430F5438A, with the range from 0 to 220g, accuracy 0.1 mg, and the maximum permissible error less than 0.3mg. Using LabVIEW 9.0 platform of NI company, developed the host computer management system of this electronic analytical balance, implementing the real-time fast on-line inspection of the weighing.This host computer management system has a large promoting and facilitating role in increasing market visibility and competitiveness of company’s electronic analytical balance.This thesis introduced the status quo and development trend of electronic analytical balance, expounded the composition and working principle of electronic analytical balance, and briefly introduced the partial function of electronic balance. Then proposed the design concept of an electronic analytical balance PC management system based on LabVIEW, and designed and implemented the intelligent electronic analytical balance PC management system based on the modular. According to the national testing standards of electronic balance’GB/T 26497-2011 electronic balance’ designed the electronic analytical balance performance verification program, realizing the partial load error, repeatability error and error value for verification of the electronic balance, and analyzing the uncertainty of measurement results.The electronic analytical balance management system software had achieved a wide variety of functions, such as quality weighing, menu function set, peeling, calibration, and unloading, serial communication, report production and so on. The user login system is designed which has effectively improved the security of the system. The two-way synchronous communication between electronic analytical balance and computer is implemented. The panel design of host machine software can simulate the keyboard to control electronic analytical balance to peel, set function parameter, calibrate, etc. In addition, it also can collect information of current quality of weighing and temperature in real time and display it using graphics and table which is convenient for the operator to observe and summary. The database module design is completed and the reliability of data storage is improved, making it convenient for user to query and record. The function of remote upgrade of electronic analytical balance is designed and completed, being easier for interaction between companies and consumers and decreasing the cost of after-sales.The experimental results show that the above-mentioned software design of electronic analytical balance meets the design performance requirements with scale range of 220g, accuracy of 0.1 mg in room temperature.
