Design And Implementationof Ningxia Telecom IP-based CDMA Short Message System

China Telecom developed rapidly since received CDMA mobile network from 2008.And become the world’s largest CDMA operator in 2 years with more than 117 million households. The number of mobile household is jumping and fast business development accompany with the Signaling quantity rapid growth, those lead to signaling network bandwidth demand increasing. Although traditional signal network running stability, processing capacity is not able to meet the needs of new business development due to the equipment used number of years. To make matters worse is that many manufacturers do not provide support service for equipment. We are facing the pressure of elimination and transformation. With the ideas of soft switch introduced into communication,towards packet evolution, realize the separation of calland bearer controlgradually, therefore the CDMA message system IP transformation, Break through the bottleneck of signaling load node is imminent.This paper discusses the use of SIGTRAN protocol IP signaling technology development first. On the actual demand of Ningxia telecom to CDMA SMS system construction, we design the IP-based CDMA SMS system construction scheme. In order to design and implement IP-based CDMA SMS, the author discuss his view of point according 5 parts as follows: design objectives, software architecture, functional description, as well as a signaling gateway IP module design and system interface description. And then, based on the old SMS CDMA system network architecture and traditional signaling network architecture, Ningxia telecom CDMA system IP-based construction and planning are discussed in this paper. Ningxia telecom CDMA SMS system for the transformation of IP based and put into operation, provide a solid step for China telecom IP network transformation.Ningxia telecom network SMS nearly 700 million total messages, accounts for 10% of Ningxia telecom mobile business income. After the transformation and optimization of IP, Ningxia telecom CDMA messaging system’s SMS success rate improved obviously, all kinds of message indicators is superior to the group average. In this paper, to the future of CDMA SMS system signal No. 7 IP-based reform and construction of optimization has high reference value.
