Between heterogeneous terminal system the convergence of information is an important research content in the universal network field, so the country set up major science and technology project "Key technology of the pan cooperative multi terminal in the network environment" (project number:2011ZX03005-004-03) to study the technology. The information convergence is the key technology of the information gathering. Nanjing University bears the sub topic "For the multi terminal cooperative environment and control mechanism ", whose key point and the difficulty technology is context aware.The virtual terminal in ubiquitous network is highly abstract and general; to implement the application in different scenarios plays a huge role. Intelligent transportation system’s goal is to establish an efficient integrated transport management system. But in the complex network information system, to quickly and accurately give users information and services is about context awareness and information gathering technology. The idea has been fully reflected in the science and technology project "Road traffic sensor network information detection based on mining, aggregation, release, and aided decision system demonstration"(project number:BE2011822).This paper describes the research status at home and abroad in ubiquitous network and ITS system, points out the separation of heterogeneous terminals under the background of heterogeneous information system; introduces the theoretical foundation of context, gives a context aware workflow and system prototype; applies ontology theory in modeling, through information abstraction to improve the system; optimizes the collaborative filtering algorithm according to the context parameter; analysis the needs of collaborative heterogeneous system, gives the architecture of virtual terminal prototype design; and displays the results in the case of different scenes.In order to verify the related work, the paper combines different projects to show the practical application of research results. In addition to the ITS scene, the result runs in the environmental monitoring control sensing system and heavy pollution of Taihu regional water environment risk assessment and early warning system. The paper’s main innovation spot:·To propose a context aware workflow with system prototype and the ontology conceptual model of ITS domain, system can understand each other for information sharing and collaboration.·The optimization of the collaborative filtering algorithm based on context, effectively improve the recommendation quality of collaborative filtering recommendation algorithm, make it more suitable for intelligent transportation applications.· To give the virtual terminal aggregation system and the design of ITS information aggregation layer that provides the information centralized management and data sharing.
