We investigated the electromagnetic invisible metasurface with non-uniform distribution of reflection phase. This is novel invisible radar electromagnetic technology derived from the recent development of reflectarray antenna. It makes the reflection phase of electromagnetic wave to be non-uniformly distributed by the non-uniformly distributed reflecting elements on the metal plate. In this way, we can effectively reduce the target radar cross-section(RCS). We proposed a rapid far-field algorithm specific to the metasurface with non-uniform distribution of reflection phase and a function to evaluate the characteristics of RCS as well. Based on this, we compared several types of metasurfaces with two-layer stacked square patches. First, we analyzed the statistic parameters of RCS in order to identify a better type of metasurface. Furthermore, using this metasurface, we presented several designs for broadband low-scattering metasurface according to TE-polarized incident plane wave. Finally, we verified the designs by full-wave simulations. |
