With the rapid development of networks and network devices constantly updated, current network is increasingly exposed high energy consumption, low efficiency and many other problems, so the energy problem of network is caused by more and more attention. Based on this background, through rational design, energy-saving mechanism is proposed based on combining the speed scaling and sleep wake of the network.This paper designs and implements the network energy saving mechanism, this mechanism is consist of four modules, and they are information collection module, traffic prediction module, decision module and topology updating module. The information collection module is consist of three parts, and they are the initial topology information collection, the key point mark, traffic information collection. It is mainly responsible for establishing the initial topology information of the network, and marking the key nodes, then passing the topology information to the decision module, at the same time it is collection, statistics and analysis of network traffic, then passing the traffic information to traffic prediction module, when network traffic is mutation, and it plays a role of feedback to the decision-making module. According to the traffic information, traffic prediction module will use traffic prediction algorithm to predict the network traffic, and pass the prediction of traffic information to the decision module. Decision module, first of all, according to the key point mark, and determines the main link network, then when the network traffic reduces, according to the energy saving algorithm, the decision module will determine which devices in the network to sleep, when the network traffic increases, according to the awaken strategy, the decision module will wake the sleeping devices. Topology updating module is mainly responsible for the state change when the network device or network device fails, the network topology to conduct timely treatment to avoid routing controller making the wrong operation.This article which uses the Java language on the Eclipse platform for the network of energy-saving mechanism designs a visual interface that will demonstrate key technologies for each step in the interface, a better understanding of the design, and energy-saving mechanism design is simulated the consumption and performance of the power energy. The experimental results show that the designed mechanism of network energy-saving premise without affecting the performance of the network, can effectively reduce the energy consumption.
