FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. was founded in 1991 and is the first modern passenger car production enterprise which is constructed based on the economical scale. During the 25 years’ development, the scale of operation is getting bigger. In 2015, the Company has achieved a production of more than 1.8 Mio. Units.The product range of FAW-VW has developed from only one model of VW brand in the early stage to the current 12 models of both VW and Audi brand. Each product is leader with high quality and sales volume in its segment market. However, facing fiercer competition among the auto market and more strict demand from our customers, FAW-VW needs to be leaner in the process of whole vehicle manufacturing helped by information system, which may make company more beneficial. This is why I write this paper, and also who I believe should be the strategy for FAW-VW in the further. According to this, mainly discussing on the strategic of the Internet product management in vehicle manufacturing process in FAW-VW based on the “Industry 4.0” in German.First of all, in chapter one, it demonstrates research background and methodology. Then, we develop the understanding and status of industry 4.0 in German. By using SWOT method, we analyze inside and outside conditions of developing informationizing entire vehicle manufacture system. In chapter two, we mainly introduce status of informationizing entire vehicle manufactures system in FAW-VW and discuss the mainly problems: the function of which is not clear in overall situation. This lead to could be influenced mentally, management thought not so accurate, automatic rate is low, no ability of self-develop. Chapter three forecast the next direction of strategy executive and point out the risk during the whole process from the outside. The fourth chapter is primary one. By the help of SWOT method as well as consult and follows method, we ensure the strategy for FAW-VWin information system on vehicle manufacture and discuss the relative development status and application. Then combined with particular choice by The VW Group in German, we find the software and hardware in FAW-VW. The more important thing is we decide the local pilot schedule in order to fulfill the strategy of information system on vehicle manufacture.After sorting of the information system on vehicle manufacture and understanding for Industry 4.0 in Germany, we believe FAW-VW has already fulfill the condition of developing Industry 4.0. By investment in different stages, we could establish perfect information system in entire vehicle manufacture. Meanwhile, in this process, we must consider all known and unknown risk. Combined with auto industry development direction, we should on one hand improve the management level for information system management and internet safety management; on the other hand,we should import this theory to our suppliers so as to improve our whole competition ability to own more market share and hold the lead in the future.
