Software Research And Design On CPCI S-band Down Converter

Moreover, because in the interface, power supply, structure and other places to do a number of targeted major improvements, it makes use of CPCI Technology Industrial server, industrial computer, with a high density, high reliability and flexibility, etc.CPCI S band frequency converter is a special structure of the RF signal processing device, compared with the traditional frequency converter, the power supply, control, the use of the environment, the structure has been a major change. In the premise of ensuring the main Specifications of converter, how to determine the circuit structure, electromagnetic compatibility design, software architecture and other issues, it is an important issue for the design of CPCI converter. This paper introduces the research and design of software of CPCI bus up/down converter,which includes of the protocol processing,converter control and status parameter gather and so on,CPCI bus has obvious advances of high speed, reliability, easy control, compatible with computer industry bus standard. Mixing RF circuit and CPCI bus, frequency source can find more application in other fields.The software of the CPCI BUS up/down converter include master computer application software, interface control software, and internal control software etc. Master computer application software is based on WIN2000 or WINNT, implement parameter setting and status inquiry of the converter module. Interface control software to implement protocol conversion of bus, rate conversion, and data interface adjust. internal control software implement the control of DDS, phase lock loop and gain.System normally operates depend on cooperate of hardware and software, so the debug of the system include hardware part and software part. Correct operation of the software is the base of system normal working. We had test the function like serial communiction, lock status, parameter setting, frequency adjust, gain control and status inquiry one by one in the process of System software debug.
