The Research On Digital Painting Based On Digital Image Processing Technology

In the era of rapid development of science and techonlogy, we are not satisfied with the text as a source of information. With the develpoment of the computer application, the images have become a significant source of information and it is also an important way for human to recognize the material objective world.And the amount of information which contained in the images is also increasing constantly. Therefore, how to effectively process the images has become a research hotspot and a research focus of computer technology.Digital image processing technology has a profound influence on the field of artistic creation, and the oil painting is also challenged. By developing a software, the paper studies the digital oil paintings based on digital image processing technology. First of all, this paper introduces the background and significance of the study, and at the same time it analyses the origin and development of the digital oil painting. And analyze the system’s needs, set up the principles to be followed in the design of the system. Meanwhile analyze the function of the system. Second, we use some methods of image preprocessing such as smoothing, sharpening, to improve the quality of the images. Third, we use image processing methods for image edge detection, image segmentation and colour piece partition and so on. And we merge the boundary of the colour piece and generate the drawings. Finally, in the final part of the paper, we outline the main work and the efforts in the future.
