Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) technology is one of the hottest areas of modern medicine image research, However, The image edge is the essential feature of image, Edge detection is the foundation of image processing. Because of each kind of noise from DSA image, Moreover, The detail of blood vessel easy to lose and the signal-to-noise is lowly, that further increased edge detection of the DSA image difficulty.This article according to the DSA system and the DSA image characteristic, First, Introduced elementary theory knowledge of the edge detection technology in detail, selective analysis existing classical algorithm, as well as its advantage and disadvantage. Second, I have studied the DSA system and the elementary theory of wavelet transform, As well as have analyzed edge detection technology based on wavelet transform. Finally, this article has studied existing method for image edge detection based on wavelet transform modulus maxima, The characteristic of the Canny and the image fusion technology, has given the improved method for image edge detection based on wavelet transform modulus maxima. It included following steps: First of all, seeking all singular points separately in two small criteria image. Then acts according to the edge and the noise characteristic carries on two judgments separately to these two criterion singular point, from this separates under various criteria the edge singular point. Finally the edge singular point which have made will obtain using the image fusion technology carries on the union and the connection. The experimental result indicated that this edge detection method is been small the noise influence, does not have the false edge, the edge is the single picture, the results showed that the inconsistency between high precision localization and high de-noise ability existing in traditional edge detection algorithm could be resolved by means of the algorithm. That has certain significance in the medicine imagery processing.
