With the high-speed development of our country electric power industry,the quantity and capacity of thermal power unit is increasing, the demand of power coal used for motive force is high. But most of the boilers in our country can’t design combustion or check coal type in accordance with the requirments. In power plant, the coal quality spans a wide range and the coal quality features change is complicated. That brings difficulties to power plant coal yard coal strorage and boiler combustion. It also poses a safety hazard, or even a safety accidents. Moreover, the boiler exceeding emissions may affect the efficiency of power plants. Coal-fired power plant,therefore, using scientific and reasonable stacking method to different coal type, optimizing coal piling and coal combustion according to the characteristics of coal, setting up a coal digital management is imperative.This paper focuses on the demand and system design target of coal quality management, coal field management, coal dump management, simulation view management, silos management, bunker management, users management, etc. And it also elaborates on the selection of technology, the design of each function module and the design of database. In accordance with the methodology of Rational Unified Process, this paper uses UML language describe each function module in detail. It uses database concept mode generating a corresponding database physical model and establishing the SQL SERVER database table structure further by using Forward Software Engineering techonology. For power plant fuel management information system each function module is implemented and tested. In the implementation section, this paper do a more detailed analysis on the correlation techonology used by the system. This system is developed with B/S development mode, using the three tier architecture, and using C# language as the background language. About the choice of system development platform, the system uses the.NET platform bundled IIS Web Server which is set up on the Windows Server, and uses SQL Server as database.The power plant fuel management information system standardizes the fuel management business process reasonably, realizes the centralizing management of coal quality data information and visual management of coal field, mirrors the coal field running status intuitively, and predicts the coal mixed blending scientifically and accurately. The system can raise the scientificalness of fuel combustion and reludce the blindness of productive process.
