With the social development, as a non-renewable resource, heritage get more social attention, but due to the deterioration of the natural environment and human mishandling and other factors, many relics have been varying degrees of damage, which caused immeasurable loss to the country. Most existing artifacts stored in the museum. It was found that environmental factors impacts enormously cultural relics in long-term studies, such as temperature and humidity which impact long-term preservation of cultural relics, corrosion, light intensity which affects the color artifacts maintained. Most museum’s environmental monitoring system is currently semi-manual, cable laid. Based on wireless sensor network technology, we design a museum environment monitoring system to achieve real-time monitoring of the environment of the museum, providing a more convenient means of effective protection of the heritage.Based on the survey of a variety of wireless sensor network technology, we choose ZigBee technology as a monitoring data transmission network technology. ZigBee is a short-range wireless communications technology, despite the short distance communication technology, but low power consumption, which can achieve long-distance network of multi-hop transmission, and ideal for environments such as museums monitoring purposes, and fully meet the museum environment monitoring data transmission systems.Detailed analysis on Z-stack ZigBee protocol stack source code has been done. Based on TI’s CC2430 wireless SoC as the core, this system designed a ZigBee wireless sensor module, using integrated temperature and humidity sensor module DHT11 access to environmental temperature and humidity information. The formation, transfer data networks, as well as the design and implementation of PC data query and storage systems have also been designed and completed. The main work is as follows:(1) The hardware circuit and PCB design based on CC2430 chip as the core of the wireless sensor nodes.(2) The building based on the Z-Stack ZigBee protocol stack for wireless sensor networks, data transmission, including software design terminal nodes and coordinator nodes.(3) Design the WEB server, which support real-time data queries, data stored in PC software. Using Tomcat WEB server and Spring MVC Web development framework based on J2EE technology as the main achievement of complete real-time data query, the system completed setting network parameters, requiring historical data storage and other functions. Finally, the system gives a description of the test case. The results show that the system fully meets the museum for environmental monitoring requirements, with easy setup, easy maintenance, low node energy consumption, long life, stable sensor network performance, you can remotely view and set merit parameters.
