The development of cloud computing which with virtualization technology as the core promote development of virtualization technology. Virtualization is a kind of technology that abstract and simulate Computer resources such as Central processor, memory, storage and so on.Through virtualization technology, people can integrate the use of resources and realize the maximization of resource utilization.At early virtualization technology development stage, people mainly focuse on the research in CPU and memory virtualization,especially in 2005, Intel and AMD respectively roll out VT-x and AMD-v for virtualization, which breaks the restrictions on X86 architecture virtualization technology development and makes leap development on virtualization technology.The leap development on CPU and memory virtualization makes IO virtualization restrictions on virtual machine performance improvement is becoming increasingly evident. As an important part of the IO devices, networking influences the development of virtualization technology significantly.Especially in recent years,the promotion of using desktop virtualization makes the urgency in building a virtual network and improving the virtual machine network performance especially prominent.This paper introduces the relevant knowledge of virtualization technology firstly, and then studies the I/O virtualization and its model, and focus on I/O virtualization model of KVM virtualization environment. Secondly, I Analysis network virtualization and focus on the virtual network of opensource cloud computing platform Open Stack and Cloud Stack. And then make an introduction to Hybrid Desktop Cloud Server, and then studies the virtual switching device and the virtual network mode of KVM virtualization environment. In the end analysis how to construct virtual network in a single server or between servers.Base on the studies above, I designed and realize a Virtual Network Management Platform. The B/S platform has the function of managing host, managing virtual machine and building virtual network.This platform provides two ways to build virtual networks: base on Linux Kernel Bridge and Openv Switch. Through the virtual networks, the virtual machines running in diffrent servers can obtain legal IP address and communication with each other.At last, I respectively test and compare the functionality and performance of the virtual networkings using Linux Kernel Bridge and Openv Switch through this platform.The Virtual Network Management Platform not only can easily manage virtual machines and virtual networks in KVM environment, but also can provid two kinds of virtul networking: bases on Linux Kernel Bridge and Openv Switch. The platform enriches the method of building virtul networking in KVM environment, and allows users to build a virtual network according to their needs, and to make advanced control of virtual network.
