Today more and more users start using the network resulting in a network filled with a lot of traffic, no one simple application users are likely to be faced with millions of views. As cloud computing continues to evolve, more and more companies choose to deploy onto the cloud platform services to reduce enterprise IT investments. The original offer application services business through multiple physical servers are deployed onto multiple virtual servers in a virtualized environment,so administrators are faced with the virtual server traffic monitoring, and the system must have the user’s request for traffic segregation in order to achieve load balancing. This thesis presents a virtual machine monitoring system based on the virtual switch, the system is based on a virtual switch to achieve control and dynamic load balancing for virtual servers. The virtual switch is open source openvswitch, openvswitch has provided support for sFlow and openflow protocols. The thesis suggested that the use of monitoring data obtained from sFlow monitoring protocol for virtual machine, use openflow protocol to modify flow table dynamically adjusted to achieve dynamic load balancing of the whole system. After experiments, the use of virtual machines based openvswitch system, with its support for sFlow and openflow protocols simultaneously facilitate the realization of the virtual server monitoring and dynamic load balancing. In a virtualized environment, the system can play a more effective dynamic load balancing effect, to ensure the stability and system throughput and efficient use of IT resources.
