RCS(Radar Cross Section) characterizes the targets’ scattering ability of electromagnetic wave spotted on it. Usua lly, designing parameters of radar should match the electromagnetic parameters of targets, such as RCS, whereas there exists a huge difference present static data obtained both in the dark room and outside test range and the real performance of targets in the combat. On the basis of static RCS modeling, this paper regards aerial targets as research object, studying dynamic RCS modeling methods according to aeromechanic principles and analyzing RCS characteristic difference and radar range performance. The main work includes three parts:On aspect of static RCS modeling,(1) studies the mutli-scattering-center model based on the principle that targets have multiple scatter ing centers in the high frequency band, mainly analyzing the angle decorrelation of RCS;(2) By using FEKO electromagnetic computing software and CAD model of F-117 A stealthy firefighter, problems about target RCS’s data acquisition, representation, reduction are studied.On aspect of dynamic RCS modeling,(1) establish rules of translation from radar coordinate to target coordinate;(2) proposes a dynamic RCS simulation method. First establish a typical aerial path model in the context of measurement, after that compute time- variant attitude angle of radar’s line of sight in target coordinate. In order to obtain the dynamic F-117 A RCS data under four aerial paths which are level flight, climb, dive and cruising, electromagnetic computation is conducted according to attitude angle;(3) cross-correlation coefficient was used as measurement of de viate degree of wobble. The influence of wobble on dynamic RCS was analyzed in different frequency; wobble variance and polarization.On aspect of distinctions between static and dynamic RCS,(1) stud ies simulation method of RCS fluctuating model. Target’s static RCS fluctuating model is established in terms of different polarization and different angle range while target’s dynamic RCS fluctuating model is established about those four typical aerial paths;(2) compare static omnidirectional RCS data and dynamic RCS data of target’s cruising one round aside comprehensively. More attention is paid on analysis of evaluation difference of detection performance between static and dynamic RCS fluctuating model.This paper provides a simulation method of dynamic RCS, contributing to improvement of the intergrality and credibility of obtained RCS data while promoting the understanding of target characteristics. Futhermore, relevant advices and references are offered concerning radar system design and performance analysis.
