In the field of industrial signal collection and processing, with the increasing in data volume and demanding to the environment, the requirement of data collection and processing platform also enhances unceasingly. Various fields at the same time not only hope to collect more data to and access more storage capacity, but also require the data collected can handle a simple analysis and real—time display. This paper is based on a item of the cooperation with a company, designed and implement a kind of multi-channel data acquisition system based on FPGA and CPCI bus. The CPCI architecture is applied to our data collecting and processing platform, since its generality, hot swap, scalability, high reliability features are suitable for data collection and processing. In order to improve the efficiency of data acquisition and processing, the data acquisition system is constructed by using FPGA as the core, to achieve real-time collection and processing of various kinds of signals. The hardware system which uses FPGA plus CPCI-bus combines the advantages of the speed and flexibility.The first chapter introduces the significance and background of the research and puts forward the technical index which is necessary for the system designed by the project. The second chapter introduces and discusses the related theory of the system. Through the analysis of the technical index and real requirements, the system framework is constructed. In the third chapter, on the basis of in-depth analysis cpci-bus transfer protocol, we complete the hardware design of the system and the specific design of each module. We design and complete the acquisition module, the playback module and PC driver in the system software part. In the fourth chapter, the final testing is studied using the software in all parts. All indexes are tested on the system, the results of tests show that the acquisition system can reach the requirements.
