Wireless Multimedia Sensor Net Works face many difficulties,such as network bandwidth,network delay jitter and collaborative work between nodes.In order to meet the stable, reliable, real-time image transmission requirements,this paper researchs on image acquisition and transmission system based on WMSNs.This paper design image collection and transmission system based on wireless sensor network(WSN), The USB camera of the ARM board with Wince system collect and transmit image, under different versions Zig Bee agreement mixed with CC2530 modules communication transmission of video image.PC using VC programming display nodes network topology and the receive image,The experiment results show that the system has low cost, high safety and it can be a good way for image transmission.To obtain abundant image information based on WSNs, the research on image transmission is necessary. In order to improve the performance in the transmission reliability, transmission delay and node mortality, a multi-path crossed node rotation(MPCNR) protocol based on wireless sensor networks was proposed in this paper, the MPCNR protocol chooses multiple paths in parallel transmission expansion of bandwidth, puts forward the nodes with the same communication ability in each path form a cluster and selects the most powerful node in the same cluster as a relay routing nodes to improves transmission stability and avoid the large scale of nodes death. A network simulation model by MATLAB was built to analysis the transmission reliability, the end-to-end delay and the number of survival node. The simulation results show that, compared with the traditional image transmission protocol, the MPCNR protocol can improve the performance in the transmission reliability, transmission delay and node mortality, it has an important significance in image transmission based on wireless sensor networks.
