Research On Usability Evaluation Of The Project Management Website Based On Quality Function Deployment

In the era of rapid development of information technology, booming economy under the assistance of technology has become a hot trend. Under this circumstance, the ways of project management and business operation of many enterprises are being through profound changes. Applying high efficient project management website, promoting the teams’ efficiency of project management and collaboration and bring more profit to company has become catalysts of enterprise development.Meanwhile, the idea of “user first” during designing process has been enjoying popular support, user experience based design has been involved in daily work of many enterprises. The requirements of office software has shifted from function realization to powerful function plus good user experience. Aiming at complex project management website, only by simplifying ways of operation, promoting working efficiency and designing user friendly website can a product win user’s trust and draw attention from market. Many methods and technologies are developed to promote the usability of a website, among them, establishing a usability evaluation system of project management website which is capable of evaluate any project management website is a systematic and effective way of usability improvement.This paper focuses on the usability of project management website, on the basis of stating fundamental principles and methods of quality function development and usability evaluation, we try to introduce quality function development into the usability evaluation of project management. User requirements can be obtained by user interview and questionnaire survey. The obtained requirements of users are expanded by applying affinity diagram, then documentary method and analytic hierarchy process are used to expanded the feasible index of project management, finally the evaluation system of project management is constructed by correlate user requirements expansion and the feasible index expansion.In accordance of the usability evaluation system of project management, project management website SWAT is taken as an example. First feasible problems of SWAT is discovered by applying scenario simulation and heuristic evaluation, then said problems are analyzed and improving suggestions are proposed to improve the usability of enterprise project management website so that convenient and comfortable project management website are provided for staffs and more profit would be brought to the enterprise.
