In recent years, the rapid development of China’s telecommunications network has made great achievements and integrated communication ability significantly enhanced. However, with the trend of the industry integration, telephone network, computer network, cable television network tend to fusion, Needs of individual users increasingly prominent. Business demand tends to be diversified. In order to operators must provide more and more multimedia services attract customers. In this context, the next generation network emerge as the times require. NGN is a fusion of TDM PSTN voice network and IP/ATM packet network, so that can simultaneously provide integrated voice, data and multimedia services in next generation network, meet the various needs of our customers.This paper in in-depth understanding and study of NGN technology principle, gives the NGN network transformation of the system scheme, as the current popular telephone network technology, NGN has a before the PSTN network incomparable business universality and convenience. This paper analyzes the current situation of the telephone network in the YunGang, points out the shortcomings and problems, and gives the development plan of the next stage. This paper puts forward the reform plan and requirement analysis combined with the present situation and the planning and design of the YunGang, and puts forward several feasible reform scheme design, and compares the advantages and disadvantages of each scheme. The technical difficulties in the modification scheme are also proposed, and the solution is given. Finally, the paper puts forward the basic steps, the implementation effect and the test analysi s. The results of the test show that all the indicators are within reasonable range, and the final success of the reform is explained. The last chapter of the paper introduces the new business types provided by NGN after the transformation, and briefly i ntroduces the business process.
