With the arrival of the Big Date Era, data journalism emerges as a new type of report form. Currently many news media are beginning to do the related practice to data journalism in our country. This paper selects Net Ease ‘Data Blog’ Column as the research object and studies the practice methods of data journalism from the aspects of topic, content, data visualization and so on.Net Ease News Channel established ‘Data Blog’ Column in 2012. This column advocates " speaking based on date", and presents the news in the visual way of converting the data in to graphics or images. This paper adopts the research method of sampling analysis to analyze the content of Net Ease ‘Data Blog’ Column. It is found that: From the aspect of selecting topics, this column focuses on the public interest and the social hot spots, is based on the international perspective and reflects the social customs at home and abroad; From the aspect of reporting style, this column gives full play to the advantages of data visualization and makes the news more real and objective: From the aspect of column orientation and bearing the social responsibility, Net Ease ‘Data Blog’ Column has some enlightenment on other similar columns. Meanwhile, as a young data news column, this column also has some problems on the topic and report style, so this paper finally puts forward some improvement and suggestions for Net Ease ‘Data Blog’ Column.In this paper, we study the report characteristics of Net Ease ‘Data Blog‘ Column, do analysis on the premise of being familiar with the related theories, explore the practice skills and principles of data journalism in the Big Date Era, and inspire the study of the related disciplines.
