Radome as an important part of radar antenna system has high design requirement, not only need to meet the use of performance requirements but also meet the requirements of structural design. In the design process for the radome does not have an established standard design process, this article from the structure design, the thickness of the radome optimization, structure, material selection, mechanical property analysis and transition connection structure design and so on several aspects of radome design step by step optimization and performance study.First of all, for the radome of sandwich structure design optimization.Under the condition of meeting the performance requirement to determine the structure type and the thickness range, then the core layer of sandwich structure calculation and analysis different skin thickness ratio, it is concluded that the optimal thickness of the structure.
