The continuous develop ment of information technology makes Internet technology and multimedia technology achievements a lot of progress, and makes many contributions to the daily lives of people. Thus, many manufacturers put into the research of multimedia technology, and have their own technology and products. Since each manufacturer has its own development agreement and specification, so that brought some new problems. Therefore, how to effectively manage video surveillance equipment during the process of using has become a challenging work.Due to the problems mentioned above, researchers have proposed the following schemes: a video monitoring scheme based on network protocols, and this scheme is mainly built on SNMP; video surveillance solutions based on embedded system is proposed, and this scheme firstly transfed video monitoring system to the embedded system; In order to adapt to the development of mobile network, a video montoring scheme based on mobile devices is proposed, this scheme allows for video montoring place from the control room of traditional into anywhere. However, these methods of video surveillance equipment for network management are built on the basis of SNMP protocol. As we all known, the SNMP protocol itself does not have the authentication function to the data source, the safety can not be guaranteed. At the same time for non-SNMP devices, the method above is not applicable.In this research, we designed and realized a common video montoring equipment management system, so as to realize the integrated management of SNMP devices and non-SNMP devices, the network management system communicates with database by means of intermediate file. By analyzing the characteristic of each non-standard SNMP protocol network device, we design and realize the corresponding network management program, and then integrate these network management programs, after this, let it work with standard SNMP network management modules. Through this method, unified management of different video surveillance equipment can be realized without changing the network device.On this basis, we have designed and realized a forwarding server to achieve multiple concurrent access to the front cameras. Since the SDK provided by various vendors can only access hardware device directly, b ut if the software is transplanted into the web environment, it should be allow multiple users to simultaneously access video monitoring equipment. So, it is necessary to have a separate server to provide customer access request.
