The Research And Design Of Video Surveillance Network Management System Based On IPv6

With the emergence of a growing number of video surveillance points, video surveillance systems are becoming increasingly dependent on the network platform. But traditional network management system is not designed for video surveillance, We need to design a network-based video surveillance management system. With the gradual popularization of video surveillance network management system and the lack of IPv4address, video surveillance network management system used in IPv6networks and distributed architecture for network management is imperative. Besides, the data structures of the traditional SNMP and LDAP protocol don’t contain the unique parameters of the video surveillance equipment. Their data models can’t map each other. To solve the above problem, the paper conducts the research and design of video surveillance network management system based on IPv6.The paper analyzes the common database and network management protocol, using DIT of LDAP as the global database to store all of managed video surveillance equipment’s data in the LAN, choosing the SNMP protocol for network management. Besides, to solve the questions that both the traditional MIB and the DIT do not contain the specific parameters of video surveillance equipment, the paper not only extend the schema, the MIB and the DIT, but also achieve the mapping of MIB of SNMP and DIT of LDAP. The paper designes the system architecture of video surveillance network management system. Besides, implement user management, configuration management, device management, log management and other functions.The system provides the support for IPv6. First, design the data structure of IPv6address. Second, by enabling the IPv6protocol stack and configuring IPv6on management station and the managed device in the implementation phase, implement internet communications based on IPv6, proving the feasibility of the data structure in IPv6environment.
