The Reserarch And Development Of Modification Progress Tracking System

Modification management is one of major tasks at power plant. If the progress of the modification project is not properly controlled, the generation plan of power plant will be affected, and costs the company a fortune. Therefore, we need pay close attention to the progress of the modification projects. QinShan Nuclear Power Plant manages modification projects by setting up a statistician, and editing daily report which contents the progress of the modification projects. Although this method is simple and easy, it exposes problems such as prone to make mistakes, waste manpower resources and information feedback untimely, as the management expectancy is getting higher. To solve the problems mentioned above, a Modification Progress Tracking System is established, trying to manage modification projects based on database technology.During the research of Modification Progress Tracking System, the demands of the company are analyzed. System structure diagram, function modules and database design are figured out based on the system application background. Then, the critical issues are studied and methods which guaranteed the correctness, safety and real-time of system are given. The correctness of system information is guaranteed by automatic decision. The safety of system information is guaranteed by good user right management. And the real-time of system information is guaranteed by sending emails automatically. In addition, development of the system is represented. The system main functions are tested in testing phase. The result shows that Modification Progress Tracking System developed in this paper can achieve the expect goal.Compared with current modification project management model, Modification Progress Tracking System provides the following advantages. It replaces most of the statistician’s work, and saves manpower resources. Some system build-in functions, such as automatic decision, auto fill and automatic summary statistics, reduce work error rate. Accessing to the latest project progress modification, decision makers can make decisions easily.This paper proposes a new method of modification project management for the nuclear power plant by developing a Modification Progress Tracking System. This system had been put on trial at the power plant. Testing results shows that this system runs basically stable, and increases power plant management level effectively. Furthermore, this system provides a good reference for other power plants of the same type.
