Efficient, fast and standard build application GIS system is the urgent task of the two development of GIS system, which is related to the trend of GIS application development and success or failure.. The real space information system development project as the basis, the demand for power, try to use oriented object system development tool assisted the development of GIS application system, in order to explore ways to solve application system better, faster, more standardized development.UML modeling language is the product of object oriented modeling technology, and the efficient development of expressive UML has become the mainstream of system modeling.With the oriented object technology application level deepening and system modeling in various fields of application is expanding, the user obviously does not meet to the expression and interaction of traditional modeling methods, on system can be scalability and simplicity requirements are also increasing. The emergence of UML, with its good interactivity, simplicity and user experience, so that future modeling work to see the new dawn. Rational(Unified Process RUP) and Rose Rational bidirectional engineering are the practical and convenient way for the new generation system development.The results and conclusions of this study were obtained.1) using UML modeling language, designed a simple and intuitive use case diagram of the system and according to the function to achieve the complete system dynamic modeling work, has considerable significance is similar to the requirements in the relevant fields of application system.2) solved a series of key technical problems in system modeling based on UML based on: combined with the modeling language UML and RUP unified modeling process established is simple in structure and easy to update the management information system, to meet the complex GIS function demand at the same time, good to extend the life cycle of a system; using two-way engineering technology, through the combination of two-way forward engineering and engineering, the realization of the system code framework generated;3) in the overall system implementation, try to get forward engineering code framework to start, through positive research project implementation process proposed from the framework code to the code implementation of specific measures.4) completed a preliminary design of the whole system, the system running with high efficiency. At the same time interaction has also been further improved, more important is in terms of performance is also very prominent, complete with all the basic functions of the geographic information system, including some commonly used operation and UML to develop the superiority of the management information system of geological calamity incisively and vividly.
