Popularized Mobile Internet and intelligent terminals, MDS presents a huge growth trend. The contradiction of communication frequency resource shortage is promoting continuous mobile communication technology innovation. Along with the construction of the TD-LTE scale technology test network, the Chinese mobile telecommunication will be the era of LTE in the coming few years. With the background, we need to strengthen the research of TD-LTE network planning and design, for base of the coming TD-LTE large-scale network construction. The target of the paper is to study network planning and propose the feasible scheme.This thesis first introduces the key technology of TD-LTE, OFDM and multiple antenna technology, and analyzes several characteristics of TD-LTE and TD-SCDMA planning comparison.Secondly, according tothe TD-LTE characteristics, the paper puts forward a detailed TD-LTE macrocell network planning process, and provides the corresponding needs analysis method, and a detailed analysis of the coverage, capacity, interference characteristics of the main factors and make reasonable suggestions. Finally, the paper uses Atoll software as the simulation platform, planed TD-LTE network wireless for university Zone in some city and made scheme of upgrade from current TD-SCDMA network to TD–LTE network. Through the simulation analysis, optimization,achieve the general planning target finally, it is proved that the scheme is feasible. The simulation results have a certain reference value for the guidance of TD-LTE macrocell wireless network base station plan, meanwhile, also for the network wireless optimization.
