In the heterogeneous wireless network, a variety of heterogeneous wireless terminals and network technologies coexist. In this context, it is of great significance to study how to cross the gap among the differences of networks and devices, and achieve the communication and collaboration of heterogeneous devices. By analyzing the application requirements in the ubiquitous network, a unified resource management platform system in heterogeneous wireless network is designed. There are a variety of heterogeneous wireless terminal devices in the heterogeneous wireless network, which connect to the unified resource management platform through a unified terminal controller via different wireless technologies, get controlled and managed by the platform. When terminals need to start a service communication, the service request is sent to the platform, and then the suitable routing and transporting strategies are calculated by the platform, considering the service characteristics, information of terminals and networks. Then terminals run these strategies to provide data transmission for the service, thus the goal of cooperation and aggregation of various terminals in heterogeneous wireless network is achieved.In this archive, the main works we have completed are shown as follows:(1) Under the environment of heterogeneous wireless network, the whole design scheme of unified resource management platform in heterogeneous wireless network is put forward. In which components in the system are divided into heterogeneous wireless terminals, unified resource management platform and terminal controller. And the communication channel in the system can be divided into data transmission channel which is used to transmit data between terminals and control channel which is used to transmit control messages between the terminals and resource management platform.(2) The unified resource management protocol(URMP) in control channel and the protocol stack in data channel are designed respectively. The URMP are divided into two parts, security sub-layer and message sub-layer, and the link layer and network layer of protocol stack in the data channel are designed.(3) The software and hardware solution of the unified resource management platform and heterogeneous wireless terminals in the system are developed. During the development, C++ is used as the main language, and the Visual Studio and GCC development environment are adopted to develop the unified resource management platform and heterogeneous terminals program, respectively, to realize the function of design requirements.(4) According to the design requirements of the subject, the test project is designed and the system for testing and analyzing is built. Test results show that the unified resource management platform in heterogeneous wireless network is fully functional. Finally, the expected design goals have been achieved.
