In ubiquitous communication environment, heterogeneous network technology and wirelessterminal technology provide an effective technology named virtual terminal technology. Thistechnology provides various services and high QoE(Quality of Experience) for users. Based oncooperative communication of different networks and terminals, devices in heterogeneous networkuse virtual terminal technology to form an enhanced virtual terminal system. In this thesis, resourceoptimization strategy of virtual terminal system is researched in terminal layer and access networklayer of virtual terminal system. The major works are as follows:Firstly, the basic concept, structure, technologies and applications of virtual terminal systemare briefly introduced. Then, the problems and future research direction are proposed.Secondly, the research on resource optimization in ubiquitous environment is introduced. Then,the thesis analyze the related research that is applied to the virtual terminal system, and propose theimproved ideas.Thirdly, according to the analysis of the characteristics of the network and terminals, therouting optimization model in homogeneous network scenarios is established. Then an improvedAODV(Ad hoc on-demand distance vector routing) algorithm based on terminal energy is proposedto solve the optimization model.The simulation results show that, the proposed algorithm canreduce the connection delay and make the network more stable.Finally, according to the analysis of the characteristics of the resource and services, thecross-layer optimization model in heterogeneous network scenarios is established. Then a jointoptimization algorithm of resource and power is proposed. The simulation results show that theproposed algorithm is efficient in network resource optimization.
