Arm-based Portable Radar Terminal Design

Radar display and control terminal is one of the important parts for a radar system.Itmust control radar accurately, process data from radar effectively and display targets to aradar manipulator with visual, effective and accurate mode. This paper focus onresearching and designing of the portable battlefield reconnaissance radar terminal basedon ARM.The portable radar terminal adopts present advanced embedded system technique.It, s the intellcetive terminal that can complete manifestation and control.It's important forimproving the performance of the portable battlefield reconnaissance radar.The design of the portable radar terminal mainly includes the hardware platformconstructing, the software platform constructing and the system software development.Thehardware platform constructing is the foundation of the whole system, in this article itadopts muir-interface and high performance CPU S3C2410X according to ARM920T. Thesoftware platform constructing is based on the mode of host and target.The design of theradar display and control terminal software includes:according to the need of the radardisplay and control terminal software function request, dividing the software moldpiece;completing the design of the GUI interface program;completing the diaplay programdesign of the electronics map; completing the diaplay program design of the radar targetinformation; completing the program design of serial communication.In consideration ofthe stability, credibility and functions of the radar display and control terminal software,according to operate system of embedded Linux, authuor have made use of the C++language and the related software tool Qt etc. to carry on the software development.The completed work of this paper includes constructing the portable radar terminalhardware platform,software platform and the design of terminal system applicationsoftware.The portable radar terminal that this paper researehs and designs meets withvarious requests of the modern radar terminal.
