With the rapid development of the embedded technology, integration technology and communication technology, wireless sensor network in military, industrial and agricultural production, environmental monitoring and other fields has been more and more widely used. Wireless sensor network itself has very strong advantages, such as self-organizing, reliability and so on. But we have to deal with its disadvantages. One-hop node is not only need to collect the information sent to the base station, but also need to be a relay node to transmit data for other nodes. This causes the node energy consumption too fast to lead to "death", we call it "hot spots" problem. "Hot spots" problem can reduce the network lifetime, which is not conducive to the further development of sensor network. For this, this paper presents a new algorithm for mobile base station, let more nodes act as one-hop nodes, achieves load balancing for all the nodes and realizes the goal of increasing network lifetime. This article includes the following work:(1) Study the basic knowledge of wireless sensor network, including the system structure, characteristics and challenges, point out the standard of performance evaluation.(2)Serious analysis of the existing mobile base station, including random moving model, fixed track mobile model, autonomous mobile model, say out their algorithm thought, point out their respective advantages and disadvantages and lay a foundation for putting forward the next algorithm.(3)For the three elements of the mobile base station, we put forward the new algorithm of the mobile base station, including the conditions of the mobile base station, the way of the mobile base station and the destination of the mobile base station, they are made in this paper. The algorithm has been proved by simulation experiment, compared with other two algorithms, this can actually increase the network lifetime.
