| This thesis takes the start to probe into and analyse the state in quo and the trend of development of library m anagement system at hom e and abroad, analysing the advantages and shortcom ings of the m odes of C/S and B/S, and ar guing over the practicability of C/S and B/S. in order to exert its advantages of quick response and high safety, we choose the m ode of C/S as the software construction of our da ily management of the library, whereas the mode of B/S is suitable for the readers. Then the requiement of the library m anagement system is analysed, resulting in an E-R chart, with the concise analysis of the program and type field of the database.According to the practical dem and and situation, Visual Basic 6.0 is chosen as the development programming language for the C/S section, while SQL Server 2000 as the database and ASP serving the C/S section. The most basic and im portant technology essential for the management system is th e access to databases. W e make a thorough and detailed probe into the access ing flow of the databases as well as the object m odel and programming m odel. By analysing a nd probing into the com ponents of SQL querying sentences, we accom plish creating dynamically the selective list, the ch arts, querying conditions and grouping expressions, and accordingly we succeed develo ping the querying model in which query can be carried out at any arbitrary condition. W e also achieve the goal of intelligent borrowing and lending of books by judging the fields of the situation of the books in the book charts. By analysing the correspondence between the database o f SQL server and that of Access, we succeed backuping the former by the visitors. We also analyse the influence of ASP pagination technology on the performance of the servers, and create a better one.The achivement of the library m anagement system wins popularity am ong the users, and bears exten ding significance for the library m anagement system of other colleges and universities. |
