The Design & Implementation Of Network Fax System

Alexander Bain, a physicist of the US, invented fax on the basis of the pendulum theory in 1843. Facsimile communication is a kind of communication mode which uses the technology of scanning and photo-electric conversion to send static images such as words, images and so on from the sending end to the receiving end through wired and wireless communication channel and the images are reproduced by the recording. In the 71 years since 1843, fax is not only widely used as communication equipment but also plays a important role in the office automation system, electronic postal service and other fields.However, as the requirements of informationization growing faster, fax also faces a lot of problems such as fax can’t send all formats of files and that can’t satisfy all formats of files; fax service totally depends on the hardware equipments and easily gets impacted by the locations; The ways that fax works are complicated and slow; fax only can transfer point to point files and some other problems. Facing so many disadvantages, we need to develop highly-efficient application software systems to improve our fax service.The mainly subject of the thesis is net fax technology that combines the fax technology with microcomputer and uses the computer technology to increase the function of fax on collecting, storing, processing which makes the fax convey technology into productive forces and change social lives more quickly, conveniently and cheaper.The thesis uses the thought of software engineering, employs object–oriented methods and adopts the popular frame SSH and the form of web service for the frame of interface service. It also uses SQL server 2005 database for bottom layer of database, employs 2 open source frameworks to achieve the function of conversion of fax and uses IMS and SIP to send fax filesThrough a great deal of data researches and rigorous system design, the system brings out desired result that the net fax system can send all formats of files. Meanwhile as for the security of the system, the appropriate control of the relevance between roles and system functions, conversation of users, file encryption and transmission encryption, provides powerful technological support for the application of open source framework.
